How to Unlock Island 6 in Titan Fishing — Full Guide

📅 Updated 2026-04-02 island-6progressionguideunlock

Island 6, called The Celestial Reef, is the newest and most challenging area in Titan Fishing. Added in the March 2026 content update, it sits beyond the Abyssal Trench (Island 5) and represents the true end-game. With the legendary Celestial Leviathan boss, SS-tier fish, and an entirely new crafting system, Island 6 is where veteran players test everything they have built.

This guide covers the exact unlock requirements, what to prepare before you go, and a full breakdown of what awaits you on the Celestial Reef.

Unlock Requirements

You must meet all four of the following conditions before Island 6 becomes accessible on the Island Map:

1. Reach Level 45

Island 6 has the highest level gate in the game. If you are still working toward Level 45, focus on completing daily quests, weekly challenges, and farming Island 5 fish for XP. Refer to our Progression Guide for the fastest leveling methods at each stage.

2. Complete the Island 5 Story Quest Line

Every main story quest on Island 5 must be finished, including the final quest “Abyssal Reckoning,” which requires you to:

  • Catch 3 Void Jellyfish (S-tier, Island 5 exclusive)
  • Defeat the Titan Boss at least once
  • Collect 10 Abyssal Fragments from Island 5 weekly chests

The Titan Boss fight is a serious gear check. If you have not beaten it yet, see our Boss Guide for phase-by-phase strategies.

3. Own at Least One S-Tier Rod

The game checks your rod inventory when you attempt the unlock. You need at least one S-tier rod, such as the Kraken Rod (Power 820) or the Titan Rod (Power 950). The Iron Rod and Golden Rod will not qualify. Check the Best Rods Guide for how to obtain each S-tier rod.

4. Pay the Island Unlock Fee (8,000 Gems)

Island 6 costs 8,000 gems to unlock, the most expensive island fee in the game. Start saving early. Between daily rewards, quest income, fish sales, and active codes, most players can accumulate this within 2-3 weeks of dedicated farming on Island 5.

Preparation Checklist

Meeting the minimum requirements gets you through the door, but Island 6 content hits significantly harder than anything before it. Here is what you should have ready:

Rod

Bring the Titan Rod (Power 950, Luck +25%) if you have it. It is the recommended minimum for comfortable Island 6 fishing. The Kraken Rod (Power 820) works but you will notice longer catch times and lower success rates on SS-tier fish.

Do not bring anything below S-tier. The Power floor for Island 6 fish is 800, meaning weaker rods will fail most catches outright. Review the Best Rods Guide for upgrade paths.

Skill Books

Your loadout for Island 6 should cover survivability and burst damage:

  1. Tidal Wave (S-tier) — Still essential. The Celestial Leviathan has multi-hit attacks that Tidal Wave interrupts cleanly.
  2. Abyssal Surge (S-tier) — The best burst damage book in the game. If you pulled it from gacha, this is where it shines.
  3. Lucky Draw (B-tier) — The Luck bonus stacks with your rod’s Luck stat and meaningfully increases SS-tier catch rates on Island 6.

If you are missing Abyssal Surge, Lightning Strike or Flame Burst will work as substitutes. The DPS check on Island 6 is tighter, so make sure your damage book is at least A-tier.

Consumables

Island 6 enemies and environmental hazards deal more damage than anything on Island 5. Stock up:

  • Health Potions (x30) — The Celestial Storm mechanic deals constant tick damage across all zones
  • Bait Packs (x15) — SS-tier fish require premium bait for any realistic catch chance
  • Shield Crystals (x10) — You will need these for the Leviathan’s Phase 3 nova attack
  • Starlight Lures (x5) — New Island 6 consumable sold at the Island 5 shop. Required to attract the rare Starborn Whale

Step-by-Step Unlock Process

Step 1: Open the Island Map

Tap the map icon in the top-right corner of the main screen. Island 6 will appear above Island 5 with a lock icon. If the text reads “Requirements Met” in green, you are ready.

Step 2: Pay the Unlock Fee

Tap on Island 6 and confirm the 8,000 gem cost. This is a one-time payment.

Step 3: Complete the Arrival Quest

You are placed on the Celestial Reef with an introductory quest called “Starfall.” It teaches the new Celestial Storm mechanic and has you catch your first Island 6 fish, a Nebula Ray. Completing it awards 500 gems.

Step 4: Explore the Island Zones

The Celestial Reef has five zones, more than any other island:

  • Starfall Beach — Starter zone with moderate catches and the Island 6 shop
  • Coral Nebula — Mid-tier zone where Prismatic Angelfish spawn
  • Moonlight Grotto — Underground zone with Lunar Eels and crafting material nodes
  • Stormcrest Peak — High-danger zone with the strongest non-boss fish in the game
  • Leviathan’s Sanctum — Boss arena, unlocked after completing the Island 6 story questline

What Awaits You on Island 6

The Celestial Leviathan Boss

The Celestial Leviathan is the hardest boss in Titan Fishing. It has four phases:

Phase 1 (100%-70% HP): Standard attack pattern with sweeping tail strikes and homing star projectiles. Stay mobile and use Tidal Wave to cancel the tail combo.

Phase 2 (70%-40% HP): The Leviathan summons two Celestial Minions that must be killed before it takes damage again. Focus the minions with AoE books like Tidal Wave, then burst the boss when the shield drops.

Phase 3 (40%-15% HP): A nova attack hits the entire arena every 20 seconds. Pop Shield Crystals to survive. Between novas, maximize DPS with Abyssal Surge or your strongest damage book.

Phase 4 (15%-0% HP — Enrage): All previous mechanics overlap. The Leviathan attacks faster, minions respawn, and novas come every 12 seconds. This is a pure execution check. Most wipes happen here.

Leviathan Drops:

  • Celestial Rod (SS-tier, Power 1,200, Luck +30%) — approximately 8% drop rate
  • Celestial Scales (crafting material) — approximately 50% drop rate
  • 1,000 gems — guaranteed on first kill, 200 gems on subsequent kills

New Fish

Island 6 introduces the highest-value fish in the game:

  • Starborn Whale (SS-tier, Power 900) — Requires Starlight Lures. Worth 500 gems when sold, or 8,000-12,000 gems in trades.
  • Prismatic Angelfish (S-tier, Power 700) — Found in Coral Nebula. Worth 250 gems when sold.
  • Nebula Ray (S-tier, Power 650) — Common across most Island 6 zones. Worth 200 gems when sold.
  • Lunar Eel (A-tier, Power 500) — Moonlight Grotto exclusive. Drops crafting materials on catch.

The Celestial Forge

Island 6 introduces a new crafting station called the Celestial Forge, located at Starfall Beach. It lets you upgrade S-tier rods into SS-tier versions using Celestial Scales and other materials. This is the primary way to power up your gear beyond what gacha and boss drops provide.

The Starlight Shop

A new vendor at Starfall Beach sells Island 6 exclusive items:

  • Starlight Lures (200 gems each) — Required for Starborn Whale fishing
  • Celestial Bait (100 gems for 5) — Increases catch rate for all Island 6 fish
  • Phase Crystals (500 gems each) — Used at the Celestial Forge for rod upgrades

Tips for Island 6

  1. Do not rush the Leviathan fight. Complete all Island 6 story quests first. They award gems, consumables, and a free Phase Crystal that saves you 500 gems at the Forge.

  2. Farm Moonlight Grotto early. Lunar Eels drop Celestial Scales at a low rate, letting you stockpile materials before you even fight the Leviathan.

  3. Bring friends for the Leviathan. The fight supports up to 3 players in co-op. With a full group, one player can run Tidal Wave for interrupts, one can run Abyssal Surge for burst, and one can run healing support. This is significantly easier than solo.

  4. Save your Celestial Scales. Do not sell them. You need 20 scales for a single rod upgrade at the Celestial Forge, and the drop rate is not generous.

  5. Check for new codes regularly. The Island 6 update came with several new redemption codes worth over 1,000 gems combined. Visit our Codes Page to claim them before they expire.

  6. Optimize your book setup for each activity. Swap to Lucky Draw + farming books when fishing, then switch to Tidal Wave + damage books before the Leviathan fight. See our Boss Guide for boss-specific loadouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level should I realistically be for Island 6? Level 45 is the minimum, but Level 48-50 gives you a much more comfortable experience. The extra stats help survive the Celestial Storm tick damage and give you more margin in the Leviathan fight.

Can I access Island 6 with the Kraken Rod instead of the Titan Rod? Yes, the Kraken Rod meets the S-tier requirement for the unlock. However, its Power of 820 is on the low end for Island 6 content. You will struggle with SS-tier fish catches and the Leviathan’s DPS check. Upgrade to the Titan Rod first if possible.

How long does the Island 6 story questline take? Expect 4-6 hours of focused play to complete all story quests and unlock the Leviathan’s Sanctum. The quests require catches from each zone and surviving multiple Celestial Storms.

Is the Celestial Rod worth farming for? Absolutely. At Power 1,200 and +30% Luck, it is the strongest rod in Titan Fishing by a wide margin. Even at an 8% drop rate, it is worth running the Leviathan daily until you get it. If RNG does not cooperate, you can also upgrade the Titan Rod at the Celestial Forge as an alternative path to SS-tier power.

What should I do after unlocking Island 6? Focus on the story quests first for free rewards, then establish a farming routine at Coral Nebula or Moonlight Grotto. Once you are comfortable, start attempting the Leviathan daily. Long-term, work toward the Celestial Rod and fully upgraded gear at the Forge.
